Project at a glance
We transformed a long, light-filled living room in Eltham (approx. 6.9m x 8m, seating ~6m from screen) into a clean, easy-to-use home cinema. The job combined TV wall mounting, surround-sound audio, AV setup, and new power points—finished with concealed cabling and full safety testing.

The brief
Create a living-room cinema that feels simple to use but sounds impressive. Keep everything neat, hide the wires, and add the power points the room was missing. The client also wanted streaming apps (incl. Foxtel app) ready to go.

Our solution

  • 85″ Sony TV wall-mounted with all cables hidden for a tidy, low-profile look.

  • Front LCR speakers (left/centre/right) wall-mounted either side of the TV, plus a compact subwoofer for punchy bass.

  • In-ceiling rear speakers to complete true surround sound.

  • Denon AVR-2800 configured, calibrated and connected to the home network with key apps installed (incl. Foxtel).

  • New power: three double PowerPoints spaced along the back wall to suit the room layout, and one double PowerPoint in the ensuite. Where required, we used discreet conduit and ran cabling under the house/deck to keep the interior neat.

Tidy finish & safety
Every new circuit and outlet was tested and certified, with cable paths planned to avoid visible runs. The result is a clean wall, no clutter, and equipment that meets current safety standards.

The result
A crisp, immersive cinema experience that looks as good as it sounds—perfect viewing from 6 metres back, simple daily use, and the power capacity the room was missing.
