TV & Video Conferencing Installation at YSAS Dandenong
Cable & Connect recently completed a commercial AV and electrical fit-out for YSAS in Dandenong, delivering a practical and professional setup designed to support both everyday use and team collaboration.
This project focused on installing two wall-mounted TVs with tailored functionality for different areas of the space, along with integrated connectivity solutions to support modern workplace needs.
Dual TV Setup Designed for Functionality
The installation included two wall-mounted TVs positioned on a rear concrete wall, each configured for a specific purpose.
On the left-hand side, the TV was installed to service a relaxed lounge area. This setup allows for entertainment use, with a PlayStation connected via a concealed cabinet. We also installed an HDMI connection point above the cabinet, making it easy to plug in a laptop for presentations when needed.
On the right-hand side, the second TV was configured as a dedicated meeting and presentation screen. This display was integrated with a Yealink video conferencing system supplied by the client’s IT provider, creating a seamless solution for virtual meetings.
Clean Connectivity & Practical Design
To ensure a clean and user-friendly setup, we installed wall-mounted HDMI connection points and provided a 5-metre USB-C to USB-C cable. This allows users to easily connect laptops from the meeting table without messy cables or temporary setups.
We also installed a quad power outlet with integrated USB charging, including both USB-A and USB-C ports, positioned conveniently above the cabinet for accessibility.
This setup ensures the space is future-ready and supports a range of devices without needing additional adapters or modifications.
Secure Mounting on Concrete Walls
Given the installation was on a concrete wall, additional structural consideration was required. We installed a timber backing panel to provide a secure and stable mounting surface for both TVs.
This approach ensures long-term durability while maintaining flexibility for future upgrades or adjustments.
