A Complete Security, Network & Lighting Upgrade for an Industrial Facility

Our team recently completed a comprehensive commercial upgrade at a factory in Campbellfield, delivering a complete CCTV installation, communications rack upgrade and lighting improvements to help future-proof the site.

New Dahua CCTV System Installation

To provide clear coverage across key areas of the factory, we installed a new Dahua commercial surveillance system featuring:

Three 8MP fixed-lens full-colour dome cameras
One 8MP varifocal TiOC Active Deterrence camera
16-channel AI Network Video Recorder (NVR)
12TB of surveillance storage using dual Seagate SkyHawk hard drives

The system was carefully configured to provide reliable live viewing, high-quality recording and intelligent AI detection features, helping the client monitor activity while reducing false alerts.

New Communications Rack Installation

A reliable CCTV system starts with a well-organised communications cabinet.

As part of the project, Cable & Connect installed a brand new 6RU communications rack complete with:

Rack cooling fan
Power rail
Dedicated double power outlet
Theatre plate
Structured cable management

We also supplied and installed approximately 280 metres of new Cat6 data cabling, neatly run through conduit and fully labelled for easy identification.

To support future expansion, two additional spare data cables were installed to the far side of the factory, allowing additional network devices or cameras to be added without requiring major new cabling works.

Lighting Improvements Throughout the Facility

While on site, our electricians also upgraded several faulty lighting circuits by replacing:

Two commercial LED high bay lights
Two LED backlit panel lights

Replacing flickering fittings improves visibility for staff, enhances workplace safety and reduces ongoing maintenance.

Safe Installation Using Elevated Work Platforms (EWP)

Many of the cameras and lighting upgrades were installed at significant heights throughout the warehouse.

Our technicians safely completed these works using an Elevated Work Platform (EWP), allowing equipment to be positioned accurately while maintaining safe work practices.

All members of our installation team who operated the EWP hold the appropriate licences and tickets, ensuring the project was completed safely, professionally and in accordance with Australian workplace safety requirements.
