Upgrading a Meeting Room for Modern Workplace Use

Cable & Connect recently completed a meeting room AV and data installation for YSAS in Ringwood, designed to improve functionality, presentation quality and ease of use for their team.

The goal was to create a clean, professional meeting space with reliable video conferencing capability, suitable for both internal collaboration and external meetings.

65” Sony Display Installation & Wall Mounting

As part of the upgrade, our team supplied and installed a 65-inch Sony commercial display, securely mounted to the wall using a heavy-duty bracket.

The screen was carefully positioned and levelled to ensure optimal viewing angles across the room, while maintaining a clean and minimal finish.

All cabling was neatly managed to reduce visual clutter and maintain a professional appearance.

Yealink MeetingBar A40 Integration

The existing Yealink MeetingBar A40 system was installed above the display and integrated into the overall setup.

This provides an all-in-one video conferencing solution, allowing the YSAS team to easily run meetings, presentations and virtual calls without complicated setup.

We worked alongside the client’s IT team to ensure the system was correctly connected and fully operational within their network environment.

Data & Power Upgrades for Improved Functionality

To suit the new layout, additional works were carried out to improve both connectivity and usability within the space.

This included:

• Relocating and extending data points
• Installing new power supply to suit equipment positioning
• Ensuring all connections were tested and reliable

These upgrades ensure the system performs consistently and supports day-to-day use without interruption.

Safe & Compliant Cable Management

A key part of this installation was ensuring the workspace remained safe and compliant.

We installed surface-mounted floor cable management to protect data cabling running between the wall-mounted screen and the meeting desk.

This not only improves safety by reducing trip hazards, but also keeps the space looking clean and organised.

Tested, Commissioned & Ready for Use

Once installation was complete, all equipment was tested to confirm correct operation.

Final commissioning of the Yealink system was completed in collaboration with the YSAS IT team, ensuring everything was fully functional and ready for immediate use.
