98” 4K Display, Sonos Audio & Full AV Integration for a Barn-Style Space
When it comes to large open spaces, standard AV setups simply don’t deliver the performance or impact required. For this recent project in Greensborough, Ferguson Electrical was engaged to design and install a complete entertainment solution for a barn-style pavilion — combining a large-format display with high-quality audio and seamless connectivity.
A Statement 98” 4K Display
At the centre of the installation is a 98” Sony 4K Smart LED TV, wall-mounted within the pavilion to create a true focal point for the space.
In a setting of this scale, the larger screen size ensures:
Clear visibility from anywhere in the room
A more immersive viewing experience
A setup that matches the proportions of the building
The TV was securely mounted and positioned to suit the layout of the pavilion, ensuring both functionality and visual balance.
Reliable TV & AV Connectivity
To support the system, we installed a roof-mounted antenna, with cabling run back to the central AV rack and connected to the TV.
We also completed full AV cabling between the rack and the display, allowing for:
Integration with Foxtel services
Clean transmission of audio from the TV
A streamlined system with no exposed wiring
All cabling was installed neatly and tested to ensure reliable performance.
Zoned Sonos Audio System
To complement the visual setup, we installed a Sonos audio system designed to suit the size and flexibility of the space.
This included:
2 x Sonos Amps
Configuration across 2 separate speaker zones
This allows the client to:
Control different areas independently
Adjust volume and playback depending on how the space is used
Easily manage audio via the Sonos app
The speakers were installed to blend with the barn-style interior while still delivering powerful, high-quality sound.
Smart Setup & Commissioning
Once installed, we completed full setup and configuration of the system, including:
Smart TV setup and connectivity
Network integration
Testing of AV and audio systems
The result is a system that is not only high-performing, but also simple and intuitive for the client to use.
