Replacing an Existing Air Conditioner with a New Mitsubishi Electric System

A tired air conditioner doesn't always need another repair. Sometimes replacing the system is the better long-term solution.

Cable & Connect recently completed a split system air conditioning replacement in Eltham, removing the property's existing unit and installing a new 3.5kW Mitsubishi Electric system.

The new installation included a Mitsubishi Electric MSZ-AP35VGD2-A2 indoor unit and matching MUZ-AP35VGD2-A2 outdoor unit.

As part of the upgrade, the existing air conditioning electrical circuit was redirected and extended to suit the new equipment. New cabling, conduit and capping were installed where required to protect the electrical and communication wiring while maintaining a tidy finish.

The outdoor condenser was securely mounted on heavy-duty wall brackets to keep the unit clear of the surrounding garden area. A new IP66 35A isolating switch was also installed adjacent to the condenser.

New interconnect cabling and refrigerant pipework were installed between the indoor and outdoor units before the system was pressure tested, vacuumed and commissioned.

Once installation was complete, the system was fully tested to confirm correct operation.
