Replacing Failed Emergency Fittings Across Multiple Levels

One failed emergency fitting can be easy to overlook. Thirteen failed fittings spread throughout an apartment building require a coordinated maintenance response.

Cable & Connect recently completed a multi-level emergency and exit lighting rectification project at a residential strata property in Box Hill.

Our team replaced five recessed Spitfire-style emergency fittings, four emergency batten fittings and four LED exit lights across various levels of the property.

Each failed fitting was removed and the replacement connected to the existing electrical installation, with minor modifications completed where required to accommodate existing mounting points.

Working across occupied strata properties requires consideration of access, common areas, stairwells and residents while the electrical works are completed.

Following installation, the replacement emergency and exit fittings were tested and commissioned, including confirmation of their operational and battery backup functions.
