Strata Public Lighting Switchboard Upgrade in Mount Waverley

Common Area Lighting Control Upgrade in Mount Waverley

Manual, Off and Automatic Control for Strata Lighting

Common-area lighting in strata properties needs to operate reliably, while building managers and electricians also need a practical way to override automatic controls when required.

Cable & Connect recently attended a Mount Waverley strata property to audit the site's common lighting and power infrastructure and upgrade the public lighting switchboard.

As part of the attendance, the existing common lighting, power, switchboard and light fittings were inspected and documented. Recording this information helps create an accurate maintenance history for future service calls, including fitting types, access information and PE cell locations.

The public lighting switchboard was upgraded with a new enclosure, circuit protection and a three-position control switch.

The three-position switch provides Manual / Off / Auto control of the common lighting circuit.

Under normal operation, the lighting can operate automatically via the property's PE cell. Manual provides an override for testing or maintenance, while the Off position provides direct control when required.

Upgrades like this can make future building maintenance significantly easier, particularly across strata portfolios where accurate site information and straightforward controls are valuable.

Cable & Connect provides common-property electrical maintenance, lighting controls, switchboard upgrades and fault finding across Melbourne.
